Have you ever gotten so caught up in the "doing" or the "being" that it's hard to make time for God? No seriously. I need you to think about it. Have you really given God genuine time in worship, praise, studying the Word, prayer, etc.? That means that you are intentionally isolating time out of your day to be alone with the Lord, to simply be in His presence.
This is not condemnation. It's simply conviction. Conviction to help us do better and be better for God's glory. We get so caught up in the busyness of life, that we don't even realize that we have made other things or people "masters' or "lords" of our lives.
Let me help you identify modern day "masters" in our lives:
💰 1. Money and Material Success
Many chase the “bag” more than they chase God’s presence. Career, income, or lifestyle becomes the master — guiding decisions, emotions, and priorities.
Matthew 6:19–21 — “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
📱 2. Social Media & Validation
Scrolling, posting, comparing — often replaces time in prayer or the Word. Don't crave likes more than you crave God's approval. 😬
Galatians 1:10 — “Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?”
❤️ 3. Relationships & People-Pleasing
When we compromise our faith to keep a relationship, we’ve made that person lord over our life.
Exodus 20:3 — “You shall have no other gods before Me.”
⏰ 4. Busyness & Work
We fill our calendars with tasks and leave God out of the schedule. Work, even ministry work, can become an idol when it replaces intimacy with God.
Psalm 46:10 — “Be still, and know that I am God.”
🏠 5. Comfort & Convenience
We serve our own comfort — only obeying God when it’s easy or fits our lifestyle.
Luke 9:23 — “If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily.”
Every day, we’re choosing who sits on the throne of our hearts — God or something else. Being #AllInForGod shouldn't be taken lightly, and no one outranks HIS voice. 😑
